• The book's organization into five sections, each of which has a common focus, provides logical divisions for their use in classes on stuttering and for examining students' understanding of an area of information. Editors Curlee and Siegel have written introductory commentaries to each section that provide a frame of reference for the chapters included in that section.

• Each chapter includes introductory and summary sections to assist understanding of important issues. Lists of suggested readings are provided for readers who wish more information on a topic. • The two treatment sections now include chapters on cluttering (Ch. 16), on instrumental assessment and management (Ch. 19), on measuring speech naturalness (Ch. 20), and on stutterers' self-measurement (Ch. 21), none of which were covered in the first edition of the book.
