This workbook can be used to accompany any major social work research methods text. This edition is referenced to all of the most recent social work research methods texts (through early 1998), so students can complete the exercises that apply to a particular area in their textbook. The workbook provides exercises for students to complete and hand in, so it enables them to “learn by doing.” This edition is broken down into more topic units, for ease of reference; and there are many more questions in each unit.

  • A workbook that is linked to all of the major social work research methods texts, and that provides student exercises and questions that relate to each major study unit.
  • Allows instructors to determine which students are mastering major concepts; allows for early assessment of student learning.
  • Provides students with a hands-on means of applying the content they have learned in class.
  • Exercises can be completed and submitted as class assignments.

  • More than twice as many questions as the two previous editons, and all questions are now designed to be answered in 20 words or less.
  • Answers to every fifth question are included for students to “check” how they are doing.
  • Referenced to the most recent editions of social work research texts (through early 1998 publication).
  • Broken into more topics/units, for easier referencing to the student's main text.
