• The Eleventh Edition has been reorganized to in response to our users, with earlier coverage of international parity conditions and foreign exchange rate determination and forecasting.
• Shorter, more succinct mini-case studies, such as the July 2005 revaluation of the Chinese yuan, cast practical industry dilemmas in managerial and institutional perspectives. A current list of case studies is offered in tandem with a selected list of outside readings.
• An upfront discussion of the debate over corporate control and the response to scandals like Worldcom in industry and government has been added to Chapter 1, Financial Goals and Corporate Governance.
• Chapter 3, Balance of Payments, has been expanded to include the impact of exchange rate volatility on trade flows and balances, and reliance of the US government on foreign capital to support its burgeoning deficit.
• A new streamlined Chapter 22, Working Capital Management, combines the coverage of two chapters in the previous edition and includes repositioning funds and working capital management.
• The Advanced Topics chapter from the previous edition has been deleted and those topics have been moved to appendices in appropriate chapters to provide more a fluid transition for those wishing to cover them.
