    • A new Getting Started screen includes a variety of template databases to ease novices into the program and database creation and maintenance.
    • A new interface makes working in Access™ 2007 simpler for beginners with tabbed windows, a status bar, scroll bars, and a new Navigation Pane that provides a comprehensive view of tables, forms, queries, and reports.
  • A new business scenario—managing a business that sells goods on an online auction site—is used as the example database throughout the book to demonstrate new material.
  • Other databases in examples and exercises are updated to include more business databases and more records in each database.
  • Additional examples illustrating how to develop database tables are added to Chapter 1.
  • Additional examples demonstrating how to normalize database tables are added to Chapter 7.
