A familiar Brady feature that you will see following the introduction of each chapter is the Emergency Dispatch. The objective of this feature is to thrust the student into the mindset of an EMT or EMT partners who have just been dispatched to an emergency

 

Perspectives -  Woven throughout each chapter is the key feature Perspectives. These are the personal perspectives of many of the “characters” commonly encountered on an emergency scene. We take you inside the minds of frightened patients, angry and anxious family members, and nosy neighbors.

 

Dispatch Summary - Each scenario wraps up at the end of each chapter with the “Dispatch Summary.” Here the student learns the outcome of the scenario.

 

Module Reviews - The content and organization of this Worktext is based on the modules of the EMT-Basic National Standard Curriculum. At the end of each learning Module, students can take a practice multiple-choice exam modeled after both state and national style certification exams, which will provide valuable practice for their own certification exam.
