Alice L. Hamachek is professor emeritus at Central Michigan University.  She is an academic consultant with a private clinical practice oriented toward helping students achieve personal and academic success.  She is known for her expertise in teaching students who have learning difficulties.  She has received a number of awards for outstanding leadership and excellence in education.
