The film provides enjoyable, classroom-tested examples of one child's development in the realms of temperament, cognition, morality, gross and fine motor activity, verbal ability, attachment, separation-individuation, normal anxiety, etc., utilizing both formal and informal assessment and observation. Academic, social, and family arenas are addressed, including peer group interaction, sibling issues and parenting techniques.
