BONNIE F. FREMGEN is a former associate dean of the allied health program at Robert Morris College. She has taught clinical and administrative topics, as well as phlebotomy, medical terminology, and anatomy and physiology.
Dr. Fremgen holds a nursing degree and a master's degree in health care administration. She received her Ph.D. from the College of Education at the University of Illinois.
She has broad interests and experiences in the health care field, including in physicians' offices, nursing homes, and hospitals.
Dr. Fremgen is currently an associate professional specialist at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.
WENDY M. BLUME is the former department head of the clinical laboratory science program at the Community College of Philadelphia. During her tenure as department head, she developed the department's phlebotomy program, and the program was approved by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS). In addition to phlebotomy, she has taught many different courses in clinical laboratory science such as clinical hematology, clinical microbiology, and blood banking.
Dr. Blume holds a bachelor's degree in medical technology from Case Western Reserve University and a master's degree in clinical microbiology from Thomas Jefferson University. She is a registered medical technologist in the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP). She has earned her Ed.D. in health education from Temple University.
In addition to teaching in the allied health field for many years, Dr. Blume has also worked in a clinical environment as a phlebotomist, bench technologist, and laboratory supervisor. Currently she is the acting dean of the Division of Business, Science, and Technology at the Community College of Philadelphia.
