For courses in Engine Repair, Building, Theory, and Automotive Principles. Intended for technicians and students in Automotive Technology Programs, especially in two year colleges.
An accurate text on all aspects of engine repair. Arranged systematically and designed for use in training engine rebuilding/repair mechanics and engine rebuilding machinists. Maintains a balance between theory and actual on-the-job problems. The first textbook on the subject to provide specification charts. The causes of failed and worn parts is recorded here in order to show where and what to look for in the engine. Photos help to take the place of years of practical experience.
The reader will learn rebuilding fundamentals step by step and apply them to classic and state of the art engine configurations.
Helps prepare students for the ASE engine repair test.
Gives instructors flexibility in both shop and classroom application.
