Counseling

This two CD-ROM set presents four different counselor theories (Rationale Emotive Behavior Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Brief Therapy) in an interactive design.  Each disk features one client case with corresponding counseling sessions from each of the four theories, giving students the chance to compare and contrast the theories by watching the same client across varying sessions.   Unscripted and with minimal editing, the sessions give students a true glimpse of a counselor working with a client from a specific theoretical direction.

• Video material is organized by theory with background information on each client.  Students will be able to get a sense of who the clients are and why they are seeking therapy by reading a brief bio prior to viewing the video of therapy sessions.  Afterwards, students have the chance to watch and listen to further video of counselor and client reactions and comments regarding the session.  
•  A Key Points button for every session—enables students to able to review important concepts of each theory.   Includes an overview, Applications for the Approach, Techniques of Therapy, Contributions, and Limitations of each theory presented.
• A Questions button for every session—enables students to synthesize what they learned by watching the client-counselor interaction.   Answers can be saved and printed out for class assignments.
