At Pearson Benjamin Cummings, we enjoy a tradition of integrating student input into our publishing process. In keeping with that tradition, we are proud to announce the re-vamped Pearson Benjamin Cummings Biology Prize. As you may know, we gain valuable insights from students by involving them in focus groups, written reviews, workshops, campus visits, and phone interviews. These scholarships, awarded to superior students, let us acknowledge the important role they play in the development of our books and media products.

In 2008, four students from across the country will receive a $1,000 scholarship. Any biology major who has taken the General Biology course in the last two years, or is currently enrolled, can apply for a scholarship.

We know that you share in our enthusiasm and we encourage you to promote the scholarship to your students. Please display the poster shown above and encourage all of your students to apply.

Submissions must be postmarked no later than Tuesday, November 4, 2008 in order to be considered.
