Hi, I'm here to talk to you about some of the exciting features you'll find in Revel in Art.

Built in collaboration with educators and students nationwide, Revel is an immersive learning experience designed for the way today's students read, think, and learn. Let's take a look...

Revel enlivens course content with media interactives and videos that empower students to engage with concepts and take an active role in learning.

Students are able to immediately practice course material through Revel's embedded assignment and quizzing, providing students (with) opportunities to check their understanding at regular intervals before moving on.

In addition, a variety of Revel writing activities and assignments are provided to assess concept mastery and critical thinking.

This immersive experience boosts student engagement, which leads to better understanding of concepts and improved performance throughout the course.

Revel's assignment and tracking tools offer actionable information that helps educators intersect with their students in meaningful ways. Educators can indicate precisely which readings must be completed on which dates. This clear, detailed schedule helps students stay on task and keeps them motivated throughout the course.

By monitoring class assignment completion and individual student achievement, actionable information, such as points earned on quizzes and tests and time on task, helps educators see the progress of their students and their entire class.

Revel is also fully mobile, so students can read and interact with course material on their devices, anywhere and anytime.

Let's now take a look at a few Revel features specific to Art.

First off, it is often difficult to show students the detail in works of art discussed in class. Because of the quality or sizes of images, the works seem static, and students are unable to evaluate them at the appropriate level. But with the pan, zoom and scale marker features, instructors have an easy method to present specific works of art in a detailed way that was never possible before. Students can highlight any detail, zooming in and out, so they can look closely at the artwork.

From there, we look at how many of the buildings and locations that are integral in the course are often inaccessible to students. Without engaging and accurate references, instructors cannot effectively teach the course material.

With Revel's architectural panoramas, instructors can transport their students to the points of reference within the actual text. Not only are they engaged with the panoramas, but they get a sense of what it's like to be at these various locations, often traveling thousands of miles without leaving their desk. It's like a guided tour of the most storied architectural feats.

Next, there isn't always time to cover each work of art in such detail without sacrificing other areas of the course. Yet, these opportunities to go into detailed analysis are essential to the learning experience. As a result, students could potentially miss critical details of the artwork.

So, with the closer looks feature, students receive in-dept walkthroughs of key works of art and model how an art historian talks about a work of art. Students experience the artwork differently by zooming in, learning engaging facts, and listening to expert audio.

Continuing on, static pictures and text doesn't allow for any experiential opportunities. With the videos feature, instructors can ensure that students see how other students critically interpret and approach works of art, along with artists and how they view their profession. By seeing how others experience things, students increase their appreciation of the discipline.

Finally, we look at the difficulty at trying to put together multiple works of art, architecture and other images together in the appropriate context. Revel's galleries feature provides the right context of multiple works of art or representations of various monuments. Students can focus on key works with many views or facets to them, and see how the parts relate to the whole.

And there you have it. That was a quick look at just a handful of the valuable features in Revel in Art. If you want to learn more, be sure to check out /Revel. Thanks for watching.
