Hi, I'm here to talk to you about some of the exciting features you'll find in Revel for Psychology.

Revel enlivens course content with media interactives and assessments—integrated directly within the authors' narrative—that provide opportunities for students to read about and practice course material in tandem. This immersive experience boosts student engagement, which leads to better understanding of concepts and improved performance throughout the course.

With Revel's videos and animations, instructors and students have access to cutting-edge videos and animations that help to explain in-depth topics and processes that can be hard to comprehend from a static photo or description. The videos are kept short (3-4 mins), and are embedded into the content pathway, so students don't have to go to multiple places to view them.

Next, in static textbooks, students only have the option of reading about experiments, such as Tolmans, and may not fully understand how experiments work. So, with interactive simulations and experiments, students are able to experience experiments for themselves. Experiments engage students and promote active learning with content.

Continuing on, Revel can help students relate psychological concepts and theories to their own lives. With unique media activities, students can see how psychology is applicable to their everyday lives by actively participating in the key concepts, and by seeing how their experiences and thoughts compare to those of their peers. Instructors are able to reinforce key concepts in a way all types of learners will understand.

Finally, Revel provides students with opportunities to pause from reading, reflect on and test their understanding. Through end of module quizzes / end of chapter quizzes, students have assessments that provide opportunities to check their understanding at regular intervals before moving on. By taking advantage of the 'testing' or 'generation' effect, student retention and understanding is strengthened through frequent information retrieval and practice.

In addition to the quizzes, there are a variety of Revel writing activities and assignments that are provided to assess concept mastery and critical thinking.

Revel's assignment and tracking tools offer actionable information that helps educators intersect with their students in meaningful ways. Educators can indicate precisely which readings must be completed on which dates. This clear, detailed schedule helps students stay on task and keeps them motivated throughout the course.

By monitoring class assignment completion and individual student achievement, actionable information, such as points earned on quizzes and tests and time on task, helps educators see the progress of their students and their entire class.

Lastly, Revel is also fully mobile, so students can read and interact with course material on their devices, anywhere and anytime.
