  1. View overall class trends to identify areas of weakness and inform course plans
  2. Use individual student data for early intervention
  3. Easily include Revel in your students' overall course grade
  4. Help students track their performance throughout the course

First, open the Performance Dashboard by clicking the Performance icon on the course menu.

Hover over graph icon and click Performance Dashboard icon from course home page.

As you navigate the dashboard, you can view short help tips by clicking the information icons that appear throughout.

Highlight the 'i' icon next to Assignments and Class average

View overall class trends to identify areas of weakness and inform course plans.

From the Assignments tab, you can see a macro view of your course.

Cumulative assignment scores can indicate areas of both proficiency and weakness.

Click into assignment and assessment detail for a more granular view of performance.

Cut to Quiz detail page: click on Quiz: Ethics in Sociological Research.

The item level analysis can help you identify learning gaps and questions within an assessment students found challenging.

Consider using this data to determine where you could invest additional course time to encourage content mastery prior to higher-stakes assignments and testing.

Now, let's go to the Students tab.

In this view, you can sort by points earned, or look at the trending column to see if performance is improving, stable, or declining.

By clicking a student name, you can also see how that student's average compares to the overall class average. These indicators allow you to easily identify at-risk students.

Additionally from this view, you can see a list of all available assignments for this student and click into assignment detail where you can edit scores if needed.

Download assignment or assessment data to calculate a single grade to weight as a percentage of the students' overall course grade.

To ensure students see the value of completing assignments, the Revel grade should account for 10 to 20% of the overall course grade.

Using the Performance Overview, students can quickly see the assignments they have completed and points earned to date compared to ALL possible points for all available course assignments. This helps them keep pace with the course and track progress toward an overall Revel grade.

Reviewing Individual Assignment scores provides students with up to-date information on individual assignments. This helps them take a pulse of their performance to date at any time in the term.
