Hi, I'm here to talk to you about some of the exciting features you'll find in Revel for Music.

Built in collaboration with educators and students nationwide, Revel is an immersive learning experience designed for the way today's students read, think, and learn. Let's take a look...

Revel enlivens course content with media interactives and videos that empower students to engage with concepts and take an active role in learning.

Students are able to immediately practice course material through Revel's embedded assignment and quizzing, providing students opportunities to check their understanding at regular intervals before moving on.

In addition, a variety of Revel writing activities and assignments are provided to assess concept mastery and critical thinking.

This immersive experience boosts student engagement, which leads to better understanding of concepts and improved performance throughout the course.

Revel's assignment and tracking tools offer actionable information that helps educators intersect with their students in meaningful ways.

Educators can indicate precisely which readings must be completed on which dates. This clear, detailed schedule helps students stay on task and keeps them motivated throughout the course.

By monitoring class assignment completion and individual student achievement, actionable information, such as points earned on quizzes and tests and time on task, helps educators see the progress of their students and their entire class.

Revel is also fully mobile, so students can read and interact with course material on their devices, anywhere and anytime.

Let's now take a look at a few Revel features specific to Music.

To start us off, we look at the way some students find it difficult to understand how to listen to classical music. Instructors want students to have access to the music in a way that helps them actively listen to it.

So with the listening guide feature, all of the music in Revel is a click away for students. The listening guides help them learn to digest music with a critical ear and better understand what is happening in a given piece.

Next, Music Appreciation is a general education course, so most students taking it cannot read music. Instructors want them to understand music, even if they can't read notes. But with animated notations, students understand difficult musical pieces by watching the explanation in the animated notations. They show a visualization of what notes are playing, allowing students to follow musical notation even if they can't read music.

From there, instructors need a method to deliver music to students, and then assess them on it. As they are introduced to various types of music, students need a way to practice what they are learning. With audio quizzes, music is presented to students and asks them to complete a self-check. They can test their knowledge as they read and listen through each chapter, ensuring that they understand what they are taking in.

Finally, teaching music is comparable to a foreign language, so instructors need a way for students to practice learning new terms.

Through the vocabulary flashcards feature, instructors can save time by offering a ready-made solution for students to practice (and hear) course vocabulary. Students are able to check their understanding of the meanings of key terms, and hear how they are pronounced.

And there you have it. That was a quick look at just a handful of the valuable features in Revel for Music. If you want to learn more, be sure to check out /Revel. Thanks for watching.
